Local firm launches module housing


Myanmar real estate news Local firm Treasure Triangle Company has launched a range of pre-fabricated module homes for anyone that wants to option to move house but take their home with them.

The ready-made steel structures can be put together in just 10 minutes, and dismantled with the same speed, said U Kyaw Htoo Aung, the firm’s director.

“[Pre-fab] houses can help people build one house within a very short time at a cheap price,” he said. “It can save time and money for users and we hope to see people use them as temporary camp, site office, café shop, mini mart and store”, he said.

Each stand-alone module is roughly eight-feet across, eight-feet high, 19 feet long and retails for K5 million, said U Kyaw Htoo Aung.

“The houses are 2016-2017 models and can be used to create a two-storey house or add a veranda,” he said, adding that if the buyer wants to purchase a decorated model the price rises to nearly K6 million.

Chinese-made, the modules are suitable for Myanmar weather, built from fire-proof panels and able to withstand a magnitude 7 earthquake.

“We will distribute the first modules today and some factories from industrials zones are interested to buy,” he said, adding that the firm can arrange shipping its modules to different regions.
